Each week we post a scripture or a quotation we have come across during the week, or a simple prayer that one of the ChildAid team have reflected upon or that has spoken to us in some way. It may be specific to the needs of our partners or the children, or indeed a request from any of our supporters.
You may wish to use our thoughts or reflections in your prayers for the forgotten children of Eastern Europe.
"It is amazing how much you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit" (Harry Truman)
In Matthew’s Gospel (6:18) Jesus tells us “your Father, who sees what is done in secret will reward you”. While it is true that our actions are sometimes credited to others, we must remember too that not all our mistakes and misdemeanours are attributed to us! God however is all seeing, He does see our accomplishments and because of the love of Jesus chooses to forgive and forget our transgressions. I for one am happy to lose the credit for my accomplishments to know my failings are forgiven; I am thankful for the ChildAid partners and our sponsors who accomplish so much, but are rarely attributed with the credit they so deserve.
